To enable the DHCP client on an Android phone, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi. Select the network you want to connect to, then under “IP settings,” choose “DHCP” from the dropdown menu. This will automatically acquire an IP address from your network’s DHCP server.

Access Your Phone's Settings

Open your phone’s settings and navigate to “Network & Internet” then “Wi-Fi“.

Choose the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.

Configure IP Settings to Use DHCP

Tap on the network name, then select “Advanced options” and choose “DHCP” under “IP settings” to automatically obtain an IP address from your network’s DHCP server.
