To enable DHCP on a Mac, go to System Preferences > Network, select your network connection, then in the TCP/IP tab, set “Configure IPv4” to “Using DHCP” and click Apply. This will automatically obtain an IP address from your network’s DHCP server.

Accessing System Preferences

Click the Apple icon in the top left corner and select “System Preferences“.

Select Network Connection

1. Click on “Network“.

2. Choose your network connection from
the left sidebar.

Access Advanced Settings

Click “Advanced“.

Configure IPv4 Settings

Select the “TCP/IP” tab.

Set IPv4 to Use DHCP

Ensure “Configure IPv4” is set to “Using
DHCP” in the TCP/IP tab.

Apply Settings to Obtain IP Address Automatically

Click “Apply” to Save Changes and Automatically Acquire an IP Address from your Network’s DHCP Server
